A couple weeks ago, Matt and I decided that we wanted to venture out and go to an amazing place in Tennessee called Stone Door. The drive to the trail was incredible, especially since the leaves here have been changing like crazy. Everything was orange and red, and it was breath-taking. Combine that with mountains, and some sweet overlooks of the almost neon landscape, and you have a masterpiece.
Happy Wednesday (almost Thursday), guys! It's been an insanely busy week, but I wanted to share something about my week that's had me pretty excited. It's something that I've wanted to do for awhile, but the timing was never right, and I was always too busy to make it happen. I got a job!
Pretty sure just about every female in the world was at Target yesterday scrambling to grab something from Chip & Joanna Gaines' brand new line, Hearth & Hand. I was most definitely one of those females. Let me tell you just how in love I am with every single item in this line. I felt like I was shopping at Magnolia, only in the middle of Tennessee. Everything is SO affordable, and I adore the items I ended up with.
November is the month of thanks. It's the month where we gather around a table with our families, stuff ourselves full of mashed potatoes, yell at football refs through the TV, and count our blessings. I want to do more than that this month, though. I always make it a point to carry the idea of Thanksgiving throughout the entire year, and through every circumstance.
As someone who has never been an avid wearer of LOUD patterns, let me tell you how out of my style comfort zone this shirt originally was. I mean, c'mon. It has flipping HENS all over it. I made a Goodwill run with my mom back when I was in my hometown for a week, and this was the one thing I came out with, only to find that I scored it for $3.50 when it was originally $128. I also found out that Amy Poehler wore the exact same top in an episode of Parks & Rec, and it won over my heart even more. (Mindy Kaling also wore the top in an episode of The Mindy Project, but Parks & Rec is more important to me...)
